Therefore, institute tries to motivate and inspire them to fulfil their aims through the war demo. Maharashtra Batalian has took a note of this activity and appreciated it.

Title of the Distinctiveness:- NCC War-Demo: Veer Javan and Veer Mata Snman

Objective:

To make realise students the contribution of solders and inculcate love towards army, military and police by creating atmosphere of battlefield in the institute.

Procedure:

India is a land of great culture and reach inheritance. However, it faces many problems like cast, class, colour, gender, religion and terrorism. Today terrorism is dangerous to humanity. People are always under threat of terrorism. Defence system of the country like Army, Military, Navy, and Police are trying their best to protect country.  By keeping this situation in mind, the institute organises the activity of war-demo in the campus.

Army means hard work, ready to sacrifice for the country. Therefore, various activities are implemented by NCC unit to prepare   students to join army. However, the activity of War-Demo is slightly different.   Everywhere, NCC department organizes the activity on the occasion of Republic day.  Brave soldiers and their families especially their mothers and wife (veer mata and veer patni) are invited as guests. In speeches, solders delivers their actual experience on battlefield which motivates and inspires students for hard work and prepare students to face tough problems in life. In other words, institute prepares students both physically as well as psychologically.

Generally, students use to practice mock drills and war demos about a month. NCC students work rigorously to present the war demo. The war demo presented in the institute on Republic Day is exact demonstration of the scenario of battlefield on the border. It includes exciting events like terrorist attacks, martyrdom of solders, tribute ceremony, and revenge of terrorists etc. 19 Mha rifles use to brought to make the scene alive. Tents, quarter guards and protection walls are set up in the campus. Girls NCC unit also participate in this activity with equal strength. On this occasion, indirectly the lesson of social service conveys to the students.

It also include sub-activities like jumping through rings of fire, building breath-taking towers and completing the obstacle race.  Students practice a lot to make this demonstration successful. Therefore, the war-demonstration helps students to prepare themselves to join the Indian army. They become ready to serve for the nation. The feeling of nationalism develops in them. They become ready to stay away from family and sacrifice their life for nation. In this sense, the activity of war-demo is the distinctiveness of the college.

On the occasion of war-demo, solder’s mother and wife are honoured and felicitated. Solders deliver speeches on their experiences on battlefield. It helps to inspire and motivate students. Girls also participate actively in the activity. It indicates girls are also equal to boys. It also develops self- defence skill among girls.

The activity of war-demo also presents the negative side of war, the violence, ferocity and harmfulness of war. It conveys the message to society that it is always better to avoid war. The war and warlike situation is always harmful to human beings. Defeat and victory are the ultimate event, but many innocent soldiers lose their lives during this war. In short, wars are dangerous to humanity. Along with it, it also cause to a huge financial loss, which is not easily possible to fill for several years. The damage caused by such war is detrimental to the development of the country. So war should be avoided as much as possible.

Common people are far away from such situations. Only those who fight on the actual battlefield can truly understand the dimensions of war. Therefore, to realize the significance and importance of war, the students of the college present a war –demo of battlefield.
